One Week Down...

Well, I finished my first week back on Weight Watchers.  And what a great week it was!

I lost 4.9 lbs!  

Woo Hoo!!!!!

Slow and steady....
I know that this won't be a typical week for me.  My goal is going to be to lose just 1 lb a week.  After all, slow and steady wins the race!  But, this same big initial loss happened to me last time, too.  I think my body is just a little shocked by the lack of calories and my metabolism hasn't had time to adjust.  Don't worry, it will.  And losing will get harder.  But, not impossible.

I'm very excited for such a good start, though.  It really helps motivate me.

I can't say I was never hungry this week.  But, that is really a lack of planning more than a denial of my needs.  I decided to do this after I had already been grocery shopping and I didn't have any money left in the budget to go get healthy snacks.  So, I had limited options.  But, I'm going to buy some great healthy, filling snacks this week.  Things like apples and bananas.  That way I can grab a zero point snack whenever I'm feeling hungry.

  1. Yay!!!! That's great! You are right that the weight loss will probably slow down. But that's a great start! So don't down play it too much. Let yourself enjoy the victories bc I am sure you will beat yourself up later over the bumps in the road. Keep up the good work! You can do this!!!! Thanks for becoming a part of WLWed!!!
