About

My Family
Welcome to my blog!  My name is Stacy and I'm excited to share my journey through life with you.  On this blog, you will read about my successes and my failures as I work to become a better wife, mother, and child of God.  I promise to be honest (even when the truth is ugly) and not sugar coat or whitewash my experiences.

About the Blog

Each Sunday I plan to post a list of my weekly goals.  Some of these goals are simple check-list items for whatever I have going on in my life.  But, many of them are deeper goals to help me become the woman God wants me to be.

My goals are organized into different areas of my life or "goal categories"
To truly understand my journey and why these goals are so important, I recommend you start at the beginning - my very first post - and read this blog backwards.  You can click the "Newer Post" hyperlink at the bottom left of each post to bring you to the next one.

Throughout the blog you will read posts about how I am working in each of these areas of my life.  From learning to menu plan, to finding a better organization system for homeschool, to developing a plan to spend time in the Word of God, you will read about how I am striving to grow in every area of my life.

About Me

I love being a mom!
The majority of my time is spent being a mommy to my two wonderful (most of the time) children (we'll call them Bubby and Sissy).  They are 7 year-old twins who couldn't be more different if they tried (besides the obvious physical attributes ;) )!  We homeschool and love it!  It is the perfect fit for my family.  So, even though I do have a part-time job a couple of evenings a week, I still get to spend a lot of time with my kids.

I also get to spend a lot of time with two of my favorite people in the world!

Unlike many mommy-bloggers, I am a horrible housekeeper!  (There, I said it.  That wasn't so bad.  I did promise to be honest!)  My house is almost always a mess.  Despite this, I have been improving, slowly but surely, in this area over the years.  My husband can at least normally find a clean bowl for his cereal in the morning, now.  This blog is full of my ups and downs as I work to become more organized and serve my family better.

My very messy desk where I do my blogging.  It almost always looks like this!

In my spare time, I read a lot.  I love books!  I also do a little crafting (although that is hard when you have to clean off the table, first) and work on projects for church.  My hubby and I also enjoy movies and often watch them as a family.

Recently, I've started working with my best friend on a Teachers-Pay-Teachers store.  She works in the public schools and I am a homeschool teacher.  So, we both have unique skills that are coming together to make some great resources (if I do say so myself).  This allows me to use my creative juices and make a little extra money!

I'm also working hard to learn the art of blogging.  With each day, I seem to learn a little more about how to create a blog.  It is funny to think that when I started I thought there wasn't much to it besides just writing!  I love comments from my readers and am constantly working to make this blog a helpful resource and encouragement to others!  I hope you enjoy reading my blog and I pray that, through it, I can be a blessing to you in some way!
